Restricting subscription use abroad

You can restrict the use of your subscription abroad by using barring categories. Also, you can have a look at Roaming Data Guard, which sets a spending limit for data usage abroad.

How to activate barring

  1. Log in to OmaElisa for Companies.
  2. Select My Services and open the Voice Subscriptions tab.
  3. Click the subscription you want to manage.
  4. Select Barring services and then Edit barring services.
  5. Make the changes you want and click Confirm.

International barring for the subscription

International Bar (U)

  • Blocks calls and text messages to foreign numbers and to international directory and connection service numbers.

International + Leisure Bar (U+P3)

  • Blocks calls and text messages to foreign numbers and to international directory and connection service numbers.
  • Blocks calls to leisure and adult entertainment service numbers.

International + Service Bar (U+P2)

  • Blocks calls and text messages to foreign numbers and to international directory and connection service numbers.
  • Blocks calls to service, leisure, and adult entertainment service numbers.

International + Utility Bar (U+P1)

  • Blocks calls and text messages to foreign numbers, and to both international and domestic directory and connection service numbers.
  • Blocks calls to general utility services as well as service, leisure, and adult entertainment service numbers.

Roaming data barring options for the subscription

Block data transfer outside the EU and EEA

  • Blocks mobile data and multimedia messaging outside the EU and EEA countries. This ensures you do not accidentally use mobile data.

Block data transfer abroad

  • Blocks mobile data and multimedia messaging when abroad.

Block all data transfer

  • Blocks the use of mobile data. Calls and text messages work normally.

Block all usage outside the EU and EEA

  • Blocks the use of the subscription in foreign networks — i.e., roaming outside the EU.

Block all usage abroad

  • Blocks the use of the subscription in foreign networks — i.e., all roaming.

Using your subscription abroad

In EU and EEA countries, you can make calls and send text messages with Elisa's corporate phone subscriptions without additional charges. You can use mobile data up to the subscription-specific maximum amount. Read more about using your subscription abroad.
