Since the rise of Apple devices, Mac malware has also become more common. One example of the threats that Mac, iPhone, or iPad users may face is phishing. In phishing, criminals get access to your personal information, such as your bank credentials and passwords. This information is then used to steal money or hijack your accounts.

• Ransomware infects and locks your computer and demands a ransom to unlock it. The ransom can range from €500 to €1500 per computer, and the payment is often required in Bitcoins, which are difficult to trace. After an attack, it may take several days to get your computer back up and running. Recent ransomware programs that have caused serious damage include WannaCry and Petya.
• Phishing attacks are commonly committed via sending emails or advertisements. The attackers often pretend to be from a well-known company, such as Apple. In these cases, a link in the email or advertisement is redirected to a scam page that phishes users’ personal information, such as credit card information.

• Spyware collects your information and sends it to third parties. This information may include email addresses, passwords, and credit card numbers.
• Key lockers record key commands, usernames, and passwords to forward them to parties that misuse them.

You can subscribe to Elisa Yritystietoturva for one year at a time with a one-time payment (annual subscription) or choose monthly billing. With an annual subscription, you will get the service for a lower price.

The billing interval for the annual subscription is 12 months from the start date. Note that the annual subscription is automatically renewed unless you terminate the service before the end of the billing interval.

In the annual subscription, the number of devices cannot be changed in the middle of the subscription period. Keep in mind that if you terminate the service in the middle of the subscription period, you will not receive a refund.

If your device breaks or any files are corrupted, you can send the device to our partner, IBAS Ontrack. They will restore the device data, such as images and videos, save them on a USB flash drive, and send the drive to you. 

The data recovery service is available for phones under 3 years of age and tablets and computer under 5 years of age. One data recovery attempt per 12 months is included in the price of Elisa Yritystietoturva. The data recovery process is successful approximately 8 out of 10 times.
